The Management Board has, recently, learned of the passing of John Day, President of the League in 2015. He was a stalwart of the Water Orton Cricket Club, firstly as a player then a leading light off the field. He continued to play representative cricket for Warwickshire Over 50's, Over 60's and Over 70's and a highlight of his career was representing England in Australia for the Over 70's. He served on the BDPCL Management Board from it's inception in 1998 until 2016. During his time on the Board, he was Chair of the League's Ground & Facility Audit Committee.

The details of his Funeral are:
Tuesday 23rd May 10.45am @ Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, Tamworth Road, B75 6LG (not far from Bassetts Pole road traffic island) & afterwards @ Water Orton CC.
