On Sunday 22nd July 2012 Halesowen CC will once again host the Royal Navy in the annual Paul McCann Memorial Challenge Match for the Paul McCann Trophy. All proceeds go to the Paul McCann Fund For Needy Children. The day starts at 8.30am when Paul's friends will take to the field for their own annual challenge match. Gates open at 11.30am for the match with entrance free, dontations are being taken and a match day programme will be available for all those who donate. There will also be charity wristbands available on the day for purchase and cars can be parked at Sandvik, close to the ground for free and at Halesowen CC for £2.00 per car. A 90 minutes charity Zumbathon will take place at 11.45am and details for this can be obtained from Instructor Jenny Whitehouse on 07852 751526. The main event of the day will be the 40 over challenge match at 1.30pm. Other fund-raising events include a tombola and there will be face painting and a bouncy castle for the children. Catering will be available from the BBQ, inside the clubhouse and the bar will be open all day. Rounding out the day will be a charity cricket auction, a disco by Dave Parsons and live music entertainment from local acoustic soloartist Hugh Neake.
