An exciting new addition to the world of cricket is set to be launched on May 16th. The Cricket Paper, a weekly publication packed with news, reports and features will be published by the same stable that brings readers the highly-regarded Sunday newspapers The Rugby Paper, The Non-League Paper and The Football League Paper. Chief correspondent is Peter Hayter, award-winning writer with The Mail on Sunday. The Cricket Paper, costing £1.50, will be available every Wednesday in newsagents and supermarkets throughout the UK. It will cover all cricket from the Test arena down to the local club scene. The 25 Premier Leagues will be a major focus of The Cricket Paper and the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League has agreed to forge a working relationship with the Publishers. The Editorial Staff will be looking to contact the major players in the League – club secretaries, scorers, commercial directors – and will be asking clubs to promote The Cricket Paper with posters at grounds and exposure on websites, Twitter and Facebook pages.
