(Twenty20) Challenge Cup Finals Day

The Cricket & Registration Committee of BDPCL has re-introduced Finals Day for the (Twenty20) Challenge Cup competition, the first time it will be staged in this format since 2018. Barnt Green will host the event which will take place on Sunday 17th July 2022 with a reserve day of Sunday 24th July in the event of bad weather.
The programme for the day is as follows: -
11.00 a.m. – Barnt Green v Kenilworth Wardens
2.15 p.m. – Bridgnorth v Harborne
5.30 p.m. – Final
The winner of the Competition will represent BDPCL in the Area Final of the Vitality National Club T20 competition on Sunday 7th August (Reserve Day 14th August in the event of bad weather the previous week) against the winners from the following Leagues: - Cheshire County Cricket League, North Staffordshire & South Cheshire Premier Cricket League and the North Wales Premier Cricket League.
The Area Final in 2022 will be held at Smethwick C.C. which was the club nominated by BDPCL to host the day at the beginning of the season. Further details will be forwarded to the competing club nearer the date, but the BDPCL club should expect to play in the first Semi-Final. The winner on that day will go forward to the Regional Final, a one-off match to be played at a venue to be confirmed on Sunday 28th August. The winners of the four Regional Finals will go on to Finals Day which will be held at Wormsley on Sunday 11th September.
