Division One

George Maddy hit an unbeaten 93 to help Knowle & Dorridge chalk up their fourth straight win - an eight-wicket victory over Himley to keep them at the top of the table.

The former Warwickshire youngster struck four 6s and nine 4s during his innings as the Station Road side eased to 205/2 to wrap up maximum points after their visitors had posted 203/8 from their 55 overs. Neil Pinner was also there at the end on 31 not out while Hamza Shaikh (43) also chipped in for K&D as they reached their target after 39 overs.

Earlier in the day, Himley had struggled against the bowling of Tom Davis (4-60) and Freddie Fowler (3-58) with skipper Oliver Westbury top scoring with 38.

K&D have a ten-point lead over Barnt Green who also picked up maximum points thanks to their eight-wicket win at home to Barnards Green. Three wickets apiece for Archie Greaves-Hall (3-38) and Ben Chapman-Lilley (3-26) helped dismiss the visitors for 200 with Joseph Harrison leading the way with 52 before being trapped lbw by Greaves-Hall. In reply, an opening partnership of 144 between Chapman-Lilley (73 no) and Henry Cullen (87) was the perfect response and they eased to 203/3 in the 45th over.

Former leaders and reining champions Smethwick had to settle for a winning draw at home to Shrewsbury. Half-centuries from opener Amir Khan (78) and Viken Kedariya (87) helped the hosts to 315/5 but their Shropshire opponents dug in to reach 241/6 largely due to an impressive unbeaten knock of 127 from opening bat Peter Clark. The pick of the Smethwick bowlers was Sagar Udeshi who finished with 3-21.

Moseley remain rooted to the foot of the table after they suffered a four-wicket defeat at home to Dorridge. Batting first, a fine 106 off just 79 balls from Andrew Umeed helped the Birmingham side to 265/8 but this proved insufficient with their opponents reaching 266/6 in the 52nd over. Top scorer was opener Montcin Hodge who carried his bat for an unbeaten 131 while Imaad Mahmood hit 93, the pair adding 207 for the sixth wicket.

Excellent bowling from Oliver Hannon-Dalby (4-25) helped wrap up a seven-wicket win for Harborne at home to Kenilworth Wardens. Eddie Miller and Felix Haines also took two wickets apiece to dismiss the Warwickshire outfit for 150 before a century partnership between Alexei Kervezee (68no) and Tejas Wagle (37no) took the hosts to 152/3 inside 25 overs.

The other game in the top flight saw Ombersley romp to a nine-wicket victory over Halesowen who were skittled out for just 88. Joel Cox was the chief wicket-taker with 5-35 and Daniel Lategan then hit an unbeaten 45 as the home side reached 89/1 in the eighth over.

Division Two

Wolverhampton put the skids under Berkswell’s charge to the title with a surprise 51-run victory at The Lant. But they did not have it all their own way, being dismissed for 167 before their bowlers stepped up to the mark to secure the win.

Batting first, Wolverhampton’s Reeve Evitts (53) was the only batsman to make an impression while Muhammad Umar Shaikh took 4-23. But with Warwickshire’s Nathan Gilchrist sweeping aside the Berkswell top order on his way to 4-33, the visitors were able to canter to victory, having the league leaders back in the pavilion for just 116. Will Jones and Asad Ullah also bagged two wickets apiece.

That result allowed nearest challengers Attock to close to within 19 points of top spot thanks to their 116-run win at Kidderminster. Rizwan Hussain scored 122 off 122 balls for the visitors, helping them reach 255/9. Nathan Jukes took 4-75 and Spencer White 3-48. That total proved far too much for their Worcestershire opponents particularly with Ahmed Bashir taking 4-47 and Gursimrat Singh 3-28.

A rapid 74 off 64 balls from Saad Naseem was not enough to help Old Hill as they went down by six wickets at Milford Hall. The visitors were all out for 167 with Will Davis and Theo Wylie taking three wickets each before Davis hit an unbeaten 37 and skipper Jordan Bulpitt 39 to help their side to 171/4.

Shifnal were convincing six-wicket winners at home to Tamworth, with Jack Home (pictured) securing star billing with an unbeaten knock of 93 from 86 balls for the hosts. Tamworth reached 210/9 and their opponents made 213/4 with ten overs to spare, Oliver Parton also chipping in with 44.

A half-century from Vriitya Aravind (53) helped guide Stourbridge to a five-wicket win at home to lowly Worfield. Batting first, the visitors scored 225/9 from their overs with captain Ross Aucott leading by example with his 90-run knock. But the Black Country side were always in the chase and made 225/5 in the 53rd over.

A 101-run second wicket partnership between Jacob Sargeant (75) and Jonathan Wigley (49) helped Leamington claim a winning draw at West Bromwich Dartmouth. The Warwickshire side posted 254/9 and then restricted their opponents to 170/6 with Bruce Thomason top scoring with 69.
